Making embroidery projects with your children can be a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon or a gloomy rainy day. Below are projects to embroider, for and with your kids.

Embroidered Artwork

The first suggestion of a good project to do for your child is embroidering their artwork on a shirt or bag. Your kids may get a kick out of seeing their artwork on a refrigerator, but how jazzed will they be about seeing you wearing their artwork, or their artwork being put onto an item they can use. If you can’t digitize artwork yourself, you can get it digitized for as low as $5.

This can turn into a great memory you or your child may cherish for a lifetime. You may even be able to add it to a memory quilt or some other item you can save for their wedding day as a gift.

Custom Disney Shirt

If your embroidery machine has built in Disney designs, you can embroider your kids favorite Disney design on a shirt, bag or hat. Get your kids’ input on where to place the design or any particular phrase or extra design. This a fun project to watch come to life.
